Did you have water in your basement this fall? You probably guessed it was a wet year, but did you know it was the third wettest year on record for our state?
We are putting the finishing touches on another great remodel project. This is a basement that was flooded in September. After working to correct the area responsible for leaking into the slab floor and destroying the carpet and lower sheetrock, we have new walls, new doorways, and paint all around completed. New floors will finish the project and an updated video of photos will be posted shortly.

Home Remodeling Payback
If you are thinking about projects to improve the value of your home this coming year, consider the advice of this article:

Apparently, like the reduced value of our homes, the return on investment in remodeling is lower now too. However, there are some bright spots that I gleaned from this review...

Professional landscaping can increase the value of your home by up to 14% of it's current value. A new entry door and hardware, changes to your entryway, cleaning up or replacing rotted trim, or painting accents can all make a substantial impact for a lot less money.
